LAWYERS…….LIARS??????

No.. not our lawyer(he’s great… even though he’s a gazillion miles away on some sort of life discovering motorbike trip in some tropical & international location).

Anyway. Potential landord’s lawyer is saying he’s been working on it with our guy via e-mail. Our guy tells us he’s only had one e-mail saying ‘working on it’. It’s just one stupid line!!!!!!! & our guy has pretty much done all the work already. All their guy needs to do is say ‘that’s fine’ or not & we can move from there!!!

Confused? Well to sum it up…. he said & she said but he said and then he said but then he said again but NOTHING!!!!!!!!

(Sorry about the multiple exclamation marks but I’ve had a couple).

Here’s where we’re at

We are in the middle of lease negotiations for a spot in Smith St. FITZROY. We’ve been waiting for a few things to come through eg. liquor license (which just came through yesterday) and we think we’re close to signing.

Byron George is our architect ( St. Judes cellars ) and we have a tight budget. ANY Free stuff would be great.. all you reps out there.

Lets get a few things straight..

It’s RUAINE. We’re not trying to be MoVida or Coda.. We just like them. Jeff is CO-owner of nineteen squares (with Dave Cox). And we hope to be in FITZROY…(I think. I get confused north of the brown river)

Square one – the word is out!

Well I guess this is as good a place to start as any. Here’s where we’re at. Yesterday, John Lethlean & Larissa Dubecki in their respective articles ‘First Bite’ for The Australian & ‘Espresso’ for the Age published the fact that we are looking to open a new restaurant in Smith St. – FITZROY (officially). Well it’s true and here is our blog. We’ll try to keep you posted as we get closer to opening. FYI – the links are on the left for the articles.
